        When suffering form colitis and you are also pregnant this foods will be good for you:

  • Wholemeal bread or crackers
  • Whole grains, and rice particularly
  • Brown sugar
  • Cooked fruit compote
  • Stewed vegetables
  • Lean meats roasted
  • Lean ham
  • Lean fish
  • Vegetables purees (avoiding the consumption of potatoes.)
  • Vegetable soups.
  • Plain water to soda water (it is important to drink two liters per day)

        Also, change your habits :

  • Chew slowly and chew your food well
  • Split your meals: 6 meals are better than three large meals.
  • Eat at fixed times
  • Take your meal in peace, and if it is possible in good company.
  • Take time to relax
  • Avoid stress
  • Practice a sport, walk, swim in the pool or the sea
